Canada is Still a Safe Haven

Well....
Canada still harbours war criminals in it's borders. It's sad when a person who who is declared a war criminal by another country is given permanent resident status here.

Leon Mugesera has been in Canada since fleeing Rwanda in December 1992.

Government lawyers fought for 10 years to have Leon Mugesera kicked out of Canada, arguing that in a November 1992 speech, he incited fellow Hutus to kill Tutsis and set the scene for the 1994 slaughter in the African country.

His lawyer said Mugesera wil be either killed or tortured if he returns to Rwanda. That's called Karma.

It was ordered by the Supreme Court in June 2005 that he be deported. Yet he and several of his associates from the Rwandan genocide continue to live free in Canada. Rwandan prosecutors have asked for their extradition. Why has this not happened? As usual, Investigators with the Canadian war crimes unit and federal officials declined to comment to the CBC about this.

At least Leon decided to lose the "Huggy Bear" pimp look over the years.
