How Fights Start

One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery
Plot as a Christmas gift..
The next year, he didn't buy her a gift.
When she asked him why, he replied, "Well, you still haven't used
the gift I bought you last year!"
And that's how the fight started.....

************************************************************************

I asked my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?'
It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation.
'Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!' she said.
So I suggested, 'How about the kitchen?'
And that's when the fight started....

************************************************************************

My wife and I are watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we
Were in bed. I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have sex?'
'No,' she answered.
I then said, 'Is that your final answer?'
She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying 'Yes.'
So I said, 'Then I'd like to phone a friend.'
And that's when the fight started....

************************************************************************

I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for
$14.95.
Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the
Beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream.
And that's when the fight started......

*************************************************************************

I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took
My order first..
'I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please.'
He said, 'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?'
'Nah, she can order for herself.'
And that's when the fight started.....

**************************************************************************

My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping
the channels.
She asked, 'What's on TV?'
I said, 'Dust.'
And then the fight started...

**************************************************************************

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming
anniversary.
She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to
200 in about 3 seconds.'
I bought her a scale.
And then the fight started...

**************************************************************************

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school
reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging
his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her , 'Do you know him?'

'Yes,' she sighed, ' He's my old boyfriend...
I understand he took to drinking right after we split up
those many years ago, and I hear he hasn't been sober since.'
'My God!' I said, 'who would think a
person could go on celebrating that long?'

And then the fight started...

**************************************************************************

I rear-ended a car this morning.. So, there we were
alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of
his car. You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little
things just seem funny?
Yeah, well I couldn't believe it... he was a DWARF!!!
He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted,
'I AM NOT HAPPY!'

So, I looked down at him and said, 'Well, then which one are
you?'

And then the fight started...

**************************************************************************

THE BROKEN LAWN MOWER

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife
kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed.
But, somehow I always had something else to take care of
first, the truck, the car, playing golf '
Always something more important to me.

Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When
I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass,
busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors.
I watched silently for a short time and then went into the
house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I
Handed her a toothbrush.

I said, 'When you finish cutting the
grass, you might as well sweep the driveway.'

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a
limp.

Sunday Night TV Line Up !!

Ah, another judgement day.

Bob & Doug MacKenzie…
30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Why did they make this?

The Simpsons…
Parts of the house they have never found? After 5 waterheaters, just now?
Fire breathing Homer.
"Big and yellow and I'm servin' Jello". I smiled. Does that count.
2 out of 10.

Sit Down. Shut Up…
Is this all the creativity that's left in the world?
Kind of half-way point between the Simpsons and Family Guy too. I guess it's time slot was based on the "raunch" factor.

"Miracle's aren't real?"
Oh wait, we can just rehash ideas from old movies too, like fortune telling machines.
Some good stuff. Funnier than the Simpsons so, 3.5 out of 10.

Family Guy…
Performance enhancing drugs for babies. Need I say more?
"All that matters is you beat the Leprechauns…"
The Guy with one Leg… funny!
Not bad - 5 out of 10.

American Dad
"If I have one more piece of Vomit Pie, I'm going to pumpkin." - Roger the Alien
Another entertaining episode with a happy ending - 7.5 out of 10.

Greetings all my opinionated friends,

Finally, after much work I have installed discussion forums in the website again. If you're wanting to participate in some interesting discussion, please feel free to check out the site and register to participate.

There isn't a lot on it yet because I just got it running today. But it is something that is very reliant on participation. However, the last forums feature I had up on the site became quite popular and interesting and I hope we can establish the same thing this time around.

Click on the "Unabombershack Forums" link off the homepage at http://www.unabombershack.com for access.

Have fun!

Another Day, another 800 Billion Dollars

So President Obama thinks that spending 800 billion dollars will keep the enconomy in the US from collapsing. He better be right because he's spending the wealth of many generations to come. How can a plan with this much risk and this much debt to be incurred possibly help at all.
How can you help a credit crunch by borrowing on the future. This plan will only prolong the agony and furyher infect the wounds of an economic system that just doesn't work.
It's the same shit only in a different colour. The rich get richer and the poor will just barely scrape by to survive, to serve their masters, the wealthy.
God bless America because that's all the hope she has left

Sunday Night TV

Well, it's another Sunday night line-up. Started off with America's Funniest Videos. Man, some of that stuff must hurt. But what's up with videotaping your small children and letting them hurt themselves.
So next up is the anticipated Sunday night Sinpsons episode. Well, another re-run. Do they only make 10 new episodes a season now. What the hell is up with that? Oh, welln the Lemonade Stand bit was good. The Homer doing all the breakup stuff was funny. Once again though they didn't play it out or ran out of creativity and next we have Homer making bets on Lisa's crossword puzzle competition. The laughs stopped at this point and the drama begins and then the show ends. Another let down.
Up next ... King of the Hill... And I haven't seen it for a while. Luanne is pregnant? Yepn you can tell they are going to cancel this show.
"It's amazing. To an unsuspecting baby almost anything can become a weapon." - Dale Gribble
And Luanne has a baby girl she's gonna name Lasagna. The end.
Up next .... Family Guy ... The jackass stuff was funny. Quagnire with the bees... a new classic. Now this new dog thing... They're reaching. Not funny. New Brian is a wuss.
So, Brian figures it out that new Brian is his replacement (after Stewie has to point it out to him) and decides to leave. Oh they're leading up to great Brian adventure. And I was wrong. In usual family guy style we get 10 minutes of filler with the Griffin's singing Grease musical numbers. Brian's at Quaggmire's place. This has gotta go somewhere good now. Nope.
Stewie looks after the problem of New Brian in awesome Stewie style after a little disturbing confession from New Brian. So we had a funny start. A lot of crap in between and a quick funny ending. Mildly satisfying.
And up next is American Dad!
"Dumpster Sluts ... There's just no art in it anymore." - Roger the Alien
"I'm the Pool Boy slash Pizza Guy. I'm here tocheck your PH levels and deliver the sausage you ordered." - Roger the Alien
Pure gold. If it wasn't for American Dad the night would have been a waste.

Ban Fighting in the NHL ??? WTF?

How are these players going to make any money. You can't pay millions of dollars to people if you don't have the revenue. And how else are you gonna generate revenue without fights? By playing hockey ??

Bettman seems like a bit of an idiot. It's obvious to me it's all about the money. Who cares about anything else. And I wonder if he could explaiun to me exactly where fighting has it's place in a hockey game. Exactly how does this benefit the game or the way that it is played ???

Read the CBC article and pay attention to the comments. There are some doozies that make a lot of sense. Like this little gem from jafo.journal… "I'd fight to sell tickets to a ban on Bettman. I'd bet there'd be better attended better hockey."

Enjoy.
